Customizing journal
Hi guys, I wanted to know if someone could help me concerning adding code to my journal. I've already learned that you have to copy and paste into the edit text section of the editing page. The problem I'm having is that all my dang links are on the same side. Is there a way to spread them out. I'd like to be able to put them on whatever side I like so they're not jumbled up. If I'm not explaining this properly just have a look at the top of my journal if you want and you'll see what I mean. Thanks a lot.

I took a quick look at the top of your journal, from what i can see it's just the code for your hit counter and the blog ring that have got themselve sat on top of each other.... just need spacing and centering and it will look a lot tidier, only trouble is you won't see the hit counter in the visual code editor so to the code editor, find the code for the hit counter and add <p align centre> before it and add </p> after it..then do the same for the blog ring code... this should put a space between them and centre them up. |

Hmmm!.. those bits of code before and after your hit counter and blog ring codes should have done the trick... have another go and let me know how it goes. |

Hey Jan, No luck. I tried it over and over and even put it in different place in case I was doing it wrong. I went to the visual editor and highlighted everything to try and center it. My shield moved but the counter and blog ring link stayed put. At least it's better than nothing! Thanks

Sorry it's took a while to get back to you..been up to my eyes in paint for weeks now...any way the only thing i can think of now is try clearing your entire header our and re do it adding one item at a time making sure each item is exactly where you want it and save your changes after each item..i know it's a bit long winded but it might just do the trick. Before you clear your header though copy and paste the entire header code in to note pad and save that on your pc..if all else fails you can at least copy and paste what you have now back in. Hope this solves the problem for you. |
