I got a Christmas letter that was postmarked on Dec.10th yesterday. It shouldn't take 37 days to get a letter within the United States. It was also slashed open at the top. This seems to be an ongoing thing - Delayed delivery and opened mail. Anyone else notice this lately? I'll just add that to the fact that our potal carrier continues to put my neighbor's mail in my mail slot. I deserve a USPS pension for all the mail I have delivered while living in NL. |

You can always vote Ron Paul. He wants to privatize the USPS. Wonderful idea if you ask me. |

The problem isn't the USPS, the problem is our local office. Ron Paul is a nut. |

Its not just NL. It everywhere. I've lived in DC, Pittsburgh, NYC and now in So. Jersey. It happens everywhere. Its called job security. A job at the post office used to be a coveted position. Now they will hire, and keep, anyone. I think the anthrax did something to all their brains. If you can get onto this message board then there is almost no excuse for not Going PAPERLESS whenever possible. And if you do have to snail mail it, spend the extra couple bucks and get a return receipt. Make them work for your business. You can probably tell my USPS issues run deep. Thanks for letting me vent. Peace, boys and girls. Tim |

we get our neighbors (on either sides) mail at least once a week. some days we don't get any of our mail, just a lot of someone else's. some days we get no mail, and sometimes we get mail delivered three times in one day. i just hope our neighbors are as conscientious as we are about re-delivering it to the rightful owner! |

For what it's worth, my last few visits to the post office at 7th have been ok, much better than previous years. Last time there were even 2 tellers (somewhat cheerful?!?), never had seen that before. And we have a new steady mailman that remembers my name! And which neighbors he can leave packages with! For the past 5 years we had subs that changed daily, and things always were misplaced/delivered/lost, but that has recently improved on our route. I'm sure that there are stil problems, but my impression is that it's getting better. .. |
