(former) Magic Quizzo at Liberties Bar!
OK, gang... This TUESDAY NIGHT: the Return of Tom Asher to Northern Liberties! Liberties Bar, 2nd and Fairmount, 9 PM, every Tuesday night beginning May 20th! What to expect: my usual Quizzo game How about specials? During Quizzo, we'll have $2 domestic drafts, and then the Happy Hour specials from 10-12: $3 domestic bottles and $3 Smithwick and Blacksmith Pints! Oh, and how about half price pizzas from 9-10! I want to thank all of you who have come on here and helped me land this new gig. And I hope to see you all at Liberties this Tuesday, whether you're an old Deucebag or a neighborhood resident who is looking for something fun on a Tuesday night! |

Absolutely! Loved Fergies, and since we won Quizzo there last week, we'll be returning to NoLibs trailing clouds of glory. And our Deuce opponents who were teamed up with us at Fergies (yeah, you, Locust Bar Dropouts)--we're at war again! |

Why make this on Tuesday night when there is the Open Mic night going on at Azure on Tuesday's? There aren't enough good things like Open Mic's and Quizzo going on directly in Northern Liberties so why double them up on the same night and make people choose? It'd be a win win fi you moved this to a different night, like say Thursdays. just my $0.02 |

Good question, and I appreciate you asking. I had been doing this game on Tuesdays at Deuce since August 2006. My schedule doesn't allow for another night of the week to be an option. And when the Open Mic was at Deuce, it was Sundays. |

Bars and restaurants usually have their slowest nights on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is why things like Open Mic Night and Quizzo usually take place on those nights. Tom's Quizzo was at Deuce on Tuesdays for a very long time, so Tuesdays is Quizzo night again. And really, Open Mic Night is very much another breed of animal. If you want to see a show, go to Open Mic night; if you want to be the show, come to Quizzo Tuesday night at Liberties! |

Excellent game. Best part was the disoriented looks on the faces of Liberties regulars who are clearly used to being alone in the darkness. The sole waitress on duty was as overworked as she was adorable. And the thin-crust pizzas were yummy, too. |

we came over from Fairmount last night to kick some NL ass, but you guys were pretty impresive. Anyway, beer was cold and pizza & burgers were great. Be back next week! Is the Polish waitress single? |
