'Rovering to Success'.
Rovering is alive and well world-wide. There are regular Rover Moots supported by the World Scout Organisation. Are you are Rover? Where do you do your Rovering? |

Re: 'Rovering to Success'.
I ran a Rover Crew in Newcastle on Tyne for five years up to 1995. We had 11 young men - and one young woman. Every one of them gained the B-P Award and then went off to university. They are now enjoying very succesful careers and I'm sure that their Scouting experience helped them on their way. I cannot agree with those who suggest that Rovering is irrelevent to the modern youth, my experiences suggest the reverse is true. |

Spot On Syd! I am aware of a number of Rover Crews which exist (unofficially of course) within 'mainstream' UK Scouting and as is traditional all do very good things. One acts as a service 'team' to Giwell. I would be intersted in learning of others. Colin
