Sally & Bob Gillett

I've heard that Sally & Bob are resigning from their positions within the club. Bob has been ill in the last few months and Sally is ill and in pain. These 2 have been great club people. Sally looks after the shop every weekend and has done a great job. Bob coaches the U16 and is the Junior Coaching Cordinator and has done a great job in difficult circumstances. he also turns out regularly to play for whatever team needs him and has even done touch judge duties. I want to thank them for everything they have done and hope that they still do something for the club. They've been good friends to us all. If only we had more people like them to help us out. Cheers Sally and Bob.

Re: Sally & Bob Gillett

Well said Phil they will be sorely missed from their club posts. Special thanks for that great day at Lordswood Bob when I played again. You and the other vets made my day. Well done both of you.

Re: Sally & Bob Gillett

It is a sad day when the club loses two great people from it's ranks. I thank Bob and Sally for all their hard work they have put into the club and wish them well for the future.

Re: Sally & Bob Gillett

I join the tributes to two very lovable stalwarts.

But, we all look forward to having Bob amongst the noisy "Grumpy Old Men" on the touchline and at our Thursday sessions. And, of course, with Sally at future functions.

Please don't drop out of our club entirely. We have got to retain some nice people to keep a bit of tone.

All my love to them both

Re: Sally & Bob Gillett

For those of you who don't know. Sally has been very ill. She is presently in Kings College Hospital where she has undergone heart surgery. Thankfully she is on the mend but the doctors still haven't found out what virus is causing the problem. It is very serious and I'm sure all of our thoughts go to her, Bobby and James. Bob is travelling up to London each day to be with her. She is not allowed cards or visitors but I'm sure Bob would appreciate a phone call from his mates although if he is in the hospital his phone will be switched off. Best to try in the evening or just leave a message. These two have been fantastic club servants and deserve all our thoughts and care. Glenn has been on the phone to offer any help th eclub can give but I'm sure Bob would just appreciate little messages on his phone offerring support and showing we care. If you want his phone number, it;s in the club handbook or email me at philipgcooper@hotmail.co.uk

Re: Sally & Bob Gillett

I am so very sorry to hear of this recent news. My thoughts are with with them and my hopes are that Sally and Bob will come through these difficult times quickly, and once again enjoy life to the full as they have done so in the past.

With my kindest regards and best wishes.

Re: Sally & Bob Gillett

GREAT NEWS, Sally is back home after her lengthy stay in hospital where she no doubt terrorised the doctors. She is back at Gillett Towers so avoid the Horn Street area.
