Re: Quick Q..............

Sorry it's taking so long to answer this one.

In general we're Canine friendly.

It depends of course whether you're hoping to bring Snoopy or the Hound of the Baskervilles.

If it's a sweet little puppy like Rog's trainee guide dog then entry is straightforward and you'll attract lots of oohs and aahs. One guy I know had one just so ladies would stop and say how adorable he (the dog) was. I think that was how he (the guy) ended up with his current (lady) partner.

It depends a bit on size of crowd etc so it's probably best to ring up beforehand and check. However, a well trained dog, with an owner who cleans up after them, is unlikely to ba problem.

I'll try and dig deeper.

Thanks for your response.

My mut is a good un really, a friendly placid (smallish) greyhound called Bodhi.

She'll also probably increase your Foodage £ takings too!! Altho it always seems to be me that pays for her!! Never seems to be her round!!

Tsk!!

Re: Quick Q..............

Big Apologies.

With the rush to put things in place for pre-season we had to cancel a meeting where this was to be one of the issues discussed.

In the event it was decided that we would have to alter our approach and limit admission of dogs to guide dogs. I suppose it's partly a consequence of our progress, as I think you'll find that the higher a club is up the Pyramid, the more stringent the rules.

Ironically, pre-Dronnie in the not too distant past, I suspect some of our crowds were not that much more than a man and his dog. There are a number of reasons why it's more difficult with bigger crowds, generally to do with legal liability.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to give advance warning, unfortunately I couldn't be on the scene this weekend and I had thought we would be able to carry on as before.

Apologies
