Duke - It's our birthday!!
Morning Duke - Happy Birthday to you!! Isnt it great having a Birthday - you get spoiled rotten! I've got some lovely new 'squeeky' toys which I have been throwing around the house all morning. Mum managed to get our walk done in the dry this morning but I wasnt too keen to go out last thing last night with all that wind and rain. Didnt get up till 9 this morning so I was a real lazy. No doubt there will be more treats for me in store later. Have a great birthday and I hope to see you soon Lots of love from your sister! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER ! Hope you have a great day. My Mum made a big mess in the kitchen making me a liver cake this morning, but she says I'm worth it. I've had a good day so far but unfortunately it was pouring when we went out this morning, but clever Mum made Star & I wear our coats ! Birthday kisses to our other sister Amy who Celia and Jimmy also rehomed if she's out there reading this. See you soon at the next walk. Love Duke |

Maybe your Mum can tell my Mum how she makes liver cake! She's never made that before! Like you, I hope Amy has a loving home now too and is having a great Birthday like us. Maybe we'll hear how and where she is. It would be great to keep in touch with her too Lots of love xxxxxx |

Hey Megan, my Mum got the recipe off of the forum so I've copied it here for your Mum. My Mum normally bakes with chocolate and other nice things, but she keeps all that for herself. Liver cake for some reason she was quite happy to give the lot to me and Star and our friends at the kennels to share ! I loved it so hoping she'll do it again soon. Uncle Jaimsie's All Natural Liver Cake recipe Ingredients: 500g liver (ox is cheapest but any will do) 1 cup of wholemeal flour 1 cup bran flakes 1 cup of porridge oats 4 medium eggs 1 clove of garlic Method: Blitz liver, garlic and 1 egg in blender until smooth add 1 egg and oats, and blitz add 1 egg and bran flakes, blitz add final egg and flour, blitz (maybe a bit paste like but this ok) Line a shallow baking tray (10" by 14" appox) with baking parchment and grease with butter or oil Spread paste onto tray and smooth Bake in preheated oven at 180 deg for 20 mins. It should be spongy but firm turn out onto cooling rack but remove parchment when still hot. Cut into bite size pieces. Should make approx 700g of cake Dogs go nuts for it, really good for practising recall. MMMMMM enjoy

Hi Duke, hi Megan!! Happy Birthday!!!! It sounds like you have had such a lovely day today!! As my 4th leg is still a bit on the dangly side, my mum has taken me to my Uncle Derek, who puts me in a special box with an electric heat pad and it helps me. He also washed me with smelly stuff, and rubbed it into my sore bit right under my front leg.. I can put it on the floor now a bit...I didnt understand why my mum brought me here, as i didnt think i had done anything wrong.. but i am getting lots of attention, and special treatment, so i am fine. I bet wee Tinkerbell misses me, and my mum will too i guess. Anyhow, this will be the first birthday of many you will enjoy, now that you are in your forever homes.... Hip hip hooray!!! Hi Duke, Megan and Sammy Amiee here, Mum changed the spelling of my name, not that it matters to me it still sounds the same. Just wanted to catch up with my brothers and sister. I now live with my forever Mum and brother, Rudi. We all live in Glasgow just beside the Canal and it is a great place for going for walks and runs. Mum doesn't let me off very often, as I always head for the marsh and come back very dirty, but I don't care cause I have lots of fun. I'm very happy with Mum and Rudi. We are going on holiday soon, Mum says we're going camping, I don't know what that means but she says we will have lots of fun and big wide open spaces for Rudi and I to run around in. Rudi's been before and says it is great fun. Mum will also take us to the beach, Rudi says that I can go swimming in the water, because he doesn't like to. (What a softie!!) I'll try anything once. Wow ! Then there was four ! My Mummys puter wasn't working so I've been out of touch for a wee while. Hello to my newly discovered brother Sammy ! Good to meet you at St. Andrews walk, and yes you are very handsome but then that is to be expected being my brother. Really hope someone comes along to give you a great home really soon, you will definately be a great pet to have, if you are anything like me. By the way never thought it possible but you are the "big brother", I was used to being the biggest but even my Mummy was surprised when we stood next to each other & you were about an inch bigger. Ellie is already worried about losing our crown at the dog show next year and asked our Mummy if we could take you home aswell. But our Mummy said no, 2 dogs & 2 kids is plenty ! Also she still believes I am the most handsome, that's what happens when humans don't wear glasses they can't see properly ! Hello also to Amy my wee sister, Megan & I were wondering how you were getting on. Happy holidays, I was away on holiday in May & had so much fun we are going back to the same place for 2 weeks in October. When you are on the beach make sure you chase a few seagulls in the sea, it is good fun but Star & I never got near them as they kept flying away. Hello Megan, my little toe blister, missed you at the walk but hopefully see you at the next one in Dunfermline. So where are the other 2 ???? We were 6 when we were born and thats 4 of us now visited Celia & Jimmy, hope our other brother & sister that are out there are having as much fun as us 4, sure they will be as beautiful & handsome without a doubt ! Hi Duke, Aimee and Sammy! Wow!!! Lots of us now, its great! Cant believe I have so many brothers and sisters! Its magic. I just couldnt make it to the walk this time Duke - was visiting my Mummy's Mummy! Really looking forward to the next one and I hope Aimee and Sammy will be there too! Duke and I were wondering about you Aimee - we wondered if your Mummy would get in touch to say where you were, and she did!! I hear from Duke that you are very big Sammy - no doubt come the dog show you and Duke will be stealing all the prizes - mind you - Duke wont want to lose his crown - even to you! Mummy and I are just back from a walk and I'm about to get my lunch before Mummy goes to work for a couple of hours (and I crash on my duvet with Charlie - my cuddly dog) Keep in touch all of you!
