Pics from yesterday's walk

Click on my website to see what a beautiful day we had yesterday in St Andrews. It was lovely to see so many new faces.
Thanks to everyone's generosity, we collected over £60!!

Re: Pics from yesterday's walk

Excellent photos Karen !
We really enjoyed ourselves ! Couldn't believe we left Glenrothes in the pouring rain, dressed in wellies & cagoules, and wishing we had waterproof trousers, only to get to St Andrews to have to strip off and ended up having a bit of sunburn the next day, good old scottish skin, anything more than 18 degrees and we go pink, better than being blue I suppose.
As you said was really good to meet lots of new people, new owners with their recently adopted dogs but also people just there to help, or because they are thinking about adopting, this is where the grapevine is definatley working Celia & Jimmy, and the interest in what you do is just growing and growing ! We had a lady pulled over in a car last night, when we were out walking to speak to us, to ask if my dogs were rescue greyhounds, not too sure if I had of said "No, they race" if she would have kept on driving ! Anyway she said when her elderly boxer dog passed away, which was unfortunately expected to be soon, she was looking to have a rescue greyhound as thought they were such beautiful animals, she was in love with Duke ! ( did say his brother who was just as handsome was currently looking for a home, but I think it was just too soon for the lady). It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who stop to speak to us whilst out a walk, I think awareness is definatley rising at a great rate, which can only be good for you, Celia & Jimmy. Greyhounds do certainly have an attraction/awareness that is continuing to grow in people, more so than other breeds I think because of all the bad press such as the story Karen highlighted in the Irish newspaper, its all about education !
Thanks again for the photos !
