GRF dogs take prizes at GAL dog show !!
Was at the GAL dog show on Saturday at Larkhall, we where looking to see if we could pick up some ideas for our show next year. But un-beknown to us Celia, Jimmy, Norman and Mary had been invited along (small world !!), so it was good to catch up on everything and not only that but GRF dogs scooped 6 prizes !!! with Sammy who is still looking for a home I belief taking 2 prizes already taking after his brother !! Rosie took the best female open class and Jemma once again won best female greyhound (2 out of 2 !) She will be wanting her own special compartment in the car next !!!! all in all it was a good day and we certainly picked up a few ideas for our show next year (hope to try and arrange a date shortly). An up date on Corky (who got a 3rd in the waggiest tail class), he got his bandage removed on Monday but he is still not to get walked for another 10 days and then only short walks for a while. But the vet was pleased with how it has healed. Unfortunately he needed to be sedated for his x-rays and was not his usual self last night and wasn’t interested in his food !!! (considering he hasn’t had anything for 24 hours !!) but he was looking much better this morning.

Well done to all you dogs involved in winning prizes, espescially my brother Sammy. What prizes did you win Sammy ? Or is that a silly question !! I'm sure one must have been for most handsome male greyhound. Love Duke |

Hi Duke He was runner up in best male and 3rd in best junior (a place behind Jemma who finished runner up ). But I think he is just warming up for our show next year . Lets hope he can find a good forever home as he will certainly make his owners proud

We were invited to go to the GAL summer gala and we could not have been treated more warmly. We must thank GAL for inviting us and it gave us a chance to meet up with another rescue group. We all came home with the same opinion - that if we all work together we can be very strong for the greyhounds. |
