New Addition
We have not been around much recently as life has been quite hectic. We Missed the last walk as we were in Lester for a convention and to pick up our latest addition Alfie. ![]() Alfie is a little (for us) old boy who came from Greyhound Gap. His is probably between 9 and 11 years old. He came to GAP from the local pound in a terrible state; he had matted fur and kennel cough, was very thin with over grown toe nails and was very weak on his back legs. His foster mum discovered that he could not go too the loo and it turned out that he had a double hernia that needed immediate surgery. He has poor eyesight (not too bad at a distance but not good closer up), he has cataracts but the vets think that they don’t account for all of the poor vision. He is possibly deaf but we think that he just doesn’t listen. He also appears to be in the very early stages of kidney failure but we should be able to hold that off with diet. So the poor old boy has had a hard time of it and has come to us to enjoy his retirement. After looking a bit lost for the first few days he appears to have started to relax and bond with us. He likes nothing better than to curl up next to Graham on the sofa and loves his walks. He gets on well with Tara and Zak and is scared of the cat.
