Apologies for being a bit behind - this has honestly been the busiest month of my life! (new kennels open, wedding, school starts, son breaks ankle, my 40th & bbq to organise, son's birthday & party, start college, the list goes on!! )Anyway.. for folks new and old (in the nicest possible way! ) the next walk is on Sunday 7th September in Pittencreiff Park meeting in the car park at 11am. Two important rules to follow please - dogs must be kept on lead at ALL times and remember to scoop the poop!Greyhounds are very lazy, gentle and affectionate dogs. They do NOT need a lot of exercise and in most cases two, twenty minute walks a day is enough. Generally, they settle quickly into a home and soon learn to become pets. Why not join us on our Walk? This is an excellent opportunity to meet retired greyhounds and their owners and have an informal chat with them about their experiences of greyhounds as pets.If you would like any more information please email karenham@gmail.com or call 01334 653118 or 01592 890583. ps Due to my lack of free time, I would really appreciate if you could display a poster in your local shop/vets/pet shop, just email me for a copy. Many thanks.

How many of my brothers and sisters will be coming to Dunfermline ??? Megan you are a Babe !!The only black one out of our litter to pass through C & J so far, so beautiful you are. Looking for support next year in the dog show, sure you would be among the trophies for best female,if not at the top of the tree, then there will definately be something wrong, you are so beautiful but then again you are my sister !! Amy you are a female version of me, which can only be all good. How do you survive from day to day with people questioning how beautiful you are all the time ? Sammy you are scaring me, I am hoping you have moved far, far, away to Canada Haven't checked with C & J yet but reckon we must be the most successful family ever, if not definately the most beautiful ! And before all you other handsome and beautiful greyhounds out there get upset, I mean we are collectively the best, need to clarify with C & J but reckon we are the only litter so far that they have rehomed 4 of the puppies. Me, Megan, Amy, & Sammy. Really hoping Sammy has gone far, far away to somewhere like Canada. But Mummy just keeps telling me if I lay off the chocolate digestives that Daddy keeps giving me I'll be closer to getting my body back to being a temple ! Only joking Sammy looking forward to seeing you at next years dog show. Although your Mummy & Daddy should watch out, cause if they've not got any children one of my twins may want to take you for a spin in the "best junior handler" catergory !! Poor old Star, we are considering using Grecian 2000 next year just so one of the girls will take her on against me !!! She would definately beat me in a race but people always think I am more handsome when we are out walking. Think its something to do with her "old ladies grey beard", Mummy says thats just the way she is, but honestly how can a dog who is meant to be 42 run like she does ! Thats why my muscles are bulging as Star chases me everwhere. |

A wee note of empathy for you Star . I know exactly how you feel. I get passed over all the time too cos I've got a handsome partner. Out walking, all the passers by comment on Sandy's good looks and fuss over him as though I don't exist! No one knows that us 42 year old gals with the white moustaches are fast as lightening and cute as wee puppies at home!Personally, I wonder if daddy's right when he calls Sandy Sandra!!Girlpower babe! Hello fellow hounds My name is Roly and I found my forever home near Kinross in October last year I came from GAGAH and I would really like to find some other hound dogs to meet up with and have a doggy chat and fun with .I am a bit shy so my Mum thinks it would be good for me to bring my hooman beens along to meet up with you at the park for your greyhound walk and do a bit of socialising.I hope that is going to be OK seeing as we don't know any of you yet? Looking forward to meeting everyone on the 7th Licks and bounces from Roly and his Mum - Elspeth |

Hi Duke, thanks for the compliments! My mummy and daddy are always telling me the same! How beautiful I am, so it must be true! You are unbelievably handsome I have to say. As you said earlier on in the year, our parents must have been real lookers to have kids like all of us. I think its magic that the four of us are still in close contact! Imagine that! I saw a recent photo of you at the St Andrew's walk and boy are you a looker!! Mummy said that you can hardly tell us apart, we look so alike! She did hasten to add that did not mean I look like a boy!! You're terrible wishing Sammy in Canada - what are you like? I know you were only joking but it'll be good to see who wins next year! Obviously bit competition there! Maybe Aimee and I will enter too for the female competition. Of course that will depend if I'm awake long enough to take part! I love sleeping. I will definitely make a point of getting up extra early next weekend though so I dont miss out on the walk in the glen. I'm getting really excited about seeing you again! Hope its not raining, I dont like getting wet! Well, its 9 o'clock now and way past my sleep time. I'm usually on my duvet by 8.30 after my walk, but I wanted to write to you first. Mummy will wake me for my 11 o'clock walk later. (Celia and Jimmy must get a good laugh at all this stuff and no doubt others reading it too)! Looking forward to seeing you and everyone else next weekend Lots lof love Megan xxxx
