The end is nigh 2008
Once again here's my selection of 'last chances' to grab those all important grand prix points before the clock chimes midnight on 31st December. I've also listed some of the more festive events that deserve more than a second glance. 7th Dec. Luton Marathon and team relay 7th Dec. Santa fun run 5 Marlow, Bucks 14th Dec. Wootton Half (Club Championships) 19th Dec. Serpentine Last Friday 5k (its early!) 21st Dec. Santa Fun Run 5 Desborough, Northants 26th Dec. Pirton Boxing day run (enter NOW!) 28th Dec. Buntingford EOY 10 mile 31st Dec. Ely 10k (always popular with Flyers) Start entering now, these will all fill up pretty fast, especially the Santa Runs (where you get to dress up as Mr or Mrs Claus), the Pirton run (where early entry guarantees free booze) and the Ely 10k (a chance to see George and Robbie running in kilts?). Ely 10k is filling up pretty fast now, its got over 500 entries already and only 700 entries allowed. Its a great end of year event, popular with Flyers in the past. A fast flat (its the fens!) course with some end of year entertainment thrown in. Definitely worth the 45 minute car journey! ...and yes its true, I probably will be wearing a kilt. |
