90 minutes
So yet another game where we dominate for the opening 30 minutes, and lose. Because we didn't score early. It seems to be the key in the league. We score first, we win, we concede first, no matter who we are playing, and we lose! we lose our shape, our composure, our heads, but mainly we lose the one thing that has got us through to this point of the season. OUR SPIRIT!!
It has been possibly the toughest weekend of the the season, one which for me has been particularly difficult to take. Everything was in our hands, everything was there for the taking. Now we have to rely on results going our way.
We have a 4 o'clock KO on saturday against Cuckfield away. West Hoathly however are at home to East Grinstead Mariners at 2pm.
Lets hope that lady luck will eventually shine on us in the league this season. Lets hope that once again we can go into a game with things in our hands.
It may just be a case of playing the season out and looking forward to div 4 football.
But it maybe a case of the great escape. Final day heroics. A game bigger than Turners Hill, VoD, AFC Ringmer, Franklands Village all rolled into one.
Look at the league table boys. It aint over yet! We have to spend the rest of this week not focusing on the West Hoathly game, but preparing ourselves for Cuckfield, and beating them.
One last chance to celebrate. One last chance for a party after the game!
Lets put the champagne on ice...................................... Because you never know!!

Re: 90 minutes
Fella's i wish i could be there im gutted i cant make it ! for 45 mins yesterday we played some very good football but what we seem to lack is a bit of belief in our own ability, make no doubt about it i would rather have all you guys as team mates over anyone else in the league !! but we need to keep our shape and work hard for each other and give Chrissy boy a god send off

The Great Escape is on lads!!
Like most of you i felt like crap yesterday, trying to figure out what exactly went wrong etc etc! We should of been up by half time but wernt, however that is life! We tend to put in our biggest performances when our backs are against the walls, well we have never been given a bigger challenge than this saturday, so lets go out there and get the 3 points!
We have Sheepy & Barbe back, which should allow us to play our familiar 4-4-2, so we can go at them early & salavage our season!!

Re: 90 minutes
In all fairness, we have not made our own luck so far in the league this season. Nor have we been given any.
We would need our full seasons worth of luck on saturday to get out of this mess! Hoathly first of all have to at least draw and us win by 6 clear goals. Secondly Hoathly lose and we ACTUALLY win!!
This really is a mammouth challenge!! but not impossible!

Good to hear from you mate. Thanks for the kind words.
What you up to these days? Any chance of a return to The Recreation Ground next season?
