Shawn, you know I love you--and I too struggle with this problem at times. Being a Christian I am constantly asked how I can do what I do, see what I see, hear what I hear, and still call myself a Christian. Isn't what I'm doing in direct conflict to what the Bible tells me to do?
For many years the only thing I had to guide me was God's voice. There are times that voice is clear, and times I have to think for myself. When I decided to do paranormal investigation I prayed a lot. Was this something He wanted me to do? Was there a purpose for me in this field? Each time the answer was yes. I don't know what that purpose is, but I know that where I am right now is where He wants me to be, and doing what He wants me to do. I'm sure the purpose will be revealed to me in time.
To me--finding God is an individual thing, and your beliefs have never offended me. It isn't up to me to change you--as a Christian it's up to me to live my life in a way that makes you want to live like me. I fall short many times in that role as a Christian. I keep trying, though.
Blessings in my life--well, I consider you one of those. You are a very good person, and a very special person. I don't know your purpose in my life either, but I'm sure in time all will be revealed. And I can wait and enjoy learning as we work together to try to find answers to our questions relating to ghosts, spirits and the paranormal. |
