Ray - I read the article in Ynet (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3306374,00.html), watched the video, and read you're talkback. The video was as the article described, a young Arab male watching a young Arab female being shot by an Israeli soldier. Then it shows the young Arab male being shot, and them meeting in heaven/paradise.
What surprised me was part of your talkback - "I think there is nothing wrong with a video that portrays Palestinians being killed by Israeli soldiers who are designated as righteous in the eyes of Palestinians. The story mixes several things to create the impression that the video also decries Jews in obscene derogatory terms when in fact that is supposedly another video, we are told. "
Forget the political message - this video implies that being shot by an Israeli is rewarded. It doesn't send a religious message. It encourages Arab youth to become Israeli targets, and hopefully get killed by them.
I don't care if those young people are Arab, Jewish, American, etc, IMO it is disgusting to encourage them to become targets. |
