Patient satisfaction tool

A colleague is undertaking a RCT and as well as collecting VAS pain scores wants to make a patient satisfaction assessment.

Can anyone direct me to a valid, reliable patient satisfaction tool?

Thanks y'all

Re: Patient satisfaction tool

Hi Jayne,

is this for inpatient or outpatient clients (acute/chronic/palliative?)

Sorry. These are in-patients.

Re: Patient satisfaction tool

Having discussed this with our R&D dept. they feel that there is no, good, generalised, satisfaction tool, and they suggest that it would be better to produce your own Likert scale based questions (Likert scale - nice 'how-to-write-one' guide, click here)

If it's a general quality of life scoring you could try the EQ5D questionnaire. (Click here)

Good luck with it, Glenn
