Aspirin
Anyone got any thoughts on aspirin for long term pain. I know this sounds a bit 'old-hat' but I have a 78 year old patient who is keen to use aspirin (and I tend to think she will do so whether we OK it or not) So I'm looking for a basic regieme for mild/moderate pain (leg ulcer pain) If I didn't feel the need to include the aspirin I would put her on paracetamol/codeine, and low dose amitriptyline. Any thoughts (paracetamol codeine and aspirin? drop the paracetamol? etc) Sorry to ask - but I've no experience of aspirin in pain management at all! |
