CADD PRIZM PCA's

We have recently changed our electronic PCA system to the CADD PRIZM. I am very pleased with the pump itself however we chose the pump as it has a distictive cassette which cannot be used for anything else hence minimising risk issues.
Our pharmacy dept are filling the cassettes and can only give us a two week shelf life which needless to say is causing some problems with waste. I wonder if anyone else is using the CADD system and how you are managing the filling of the cassettes and how long your shelf lives are?
Thanks Tracy

Re: CADD PRIZM PCA's

We use the CADD's too, but chose to use the prefilled bags. They have a much longer shelf life than the cassettes. I have also heard that there may be some companies which fill the cassettes using a special machine, your pharmacy could buy these in already made, this may increase the shelf life, however cost my be an issue.
