Hawkeye pleads guilty

Those of you following the 2007 story (original Paintalk posting Oct 9th, Henry Sunderland) of our pethidine seeking munchausen patient, knicknamed 'Hawkeye' because of his N.American accent and paramedic claims (amongst others) will be interested to know that he was arrested earlier this year and on 2nd May pleaded guilty to charges of fraud and false representation. Sentencing will be in a couple of months. I am afraid i don't have any more information on his individual case only to say that this is a 'test' case under the new NHS Fraud Act 2007. Sadly we know there are many more out there taking up a lot of precious resources...keep wise...."pain is not always what the patient says it is nor exists when then say it does."
