Keeping Doctors straight -Dr. Harrison
According to Michael Schiavo's N ov. 19, 1993 deposition: DR. LYLES- physiatrist-at Health South Dr. Becker for gastrostomy problems dr Mina Chang for gynecology Dr. Porter for teeth Dr. Harrison for neurology Dr. Mulroy-internist Dr. Joan Brown- a podiatrist [pages 29-30] This info came from Michael Schiavo' Nov. 19, 1993 deposition. According to the depo: Dr. Harrison saw Terri 'for the first time' on Nov. 18, 1993.[The day before Michael Schiavo gave his deposition.] -page 30-lines And it was Dr. Lyles who took Terri off medication called 'Tegratol' which is for seizures. NOTE- According to Michael Schiavo, Dr. Hosobuchi put Terri on Tegratol. [That would be in 1990-91.......]page 32 It seems that some of the 'intelligent' pro-mike people have a problem keeping the doctors in the Terri Schiavo case straight. I reckon the 'twist on facts' is to be expected-considering their source of information. Strange that a doctor who only saw a patient one time would suggest taking her off of siezure meds and 'mention' removing her feeding tube without ever being involved with the patient's care before. Up until Nov 19, 1993 only two doctors had 'advised' Michael Schiavo 'not to treat' Terri for bladder infection: Harrison and Mulroy. Dr. Lyles sent Michael Schiavo to Dr. Harrison for advise on Taking Terri off her seizure meds. Now, the pro-deathers have him listed with the 'neurologists' who diganosed Terri Schiavo as being PVS after 1997. Interesting 'play' on words. Was Harrison ever consulted on Terri's neurological problems? to be continued......... |

Dr. Harrison did supervise in conducting the EEG of Terri. After he looked at it and saw that it was flat (absent of cortical activity), Dr. Harrison asked Michael why continued to let Terri live. However, I read reports that simply can't diagnose a patient as PVS on an EEG result alone. Diagnosis of PVS takes an extensive clinical evaluation of the patient over long period of time. It is unknown on whether Dr. Harrison looked at Terris complete medical history. It also unknown on whether Dr. Harrison continued to consult with Terri's case. I did find it suspect that Dr. Harrison saw Terri the day before Michael's 1993 depo. Michael did state that he was unsure how long it had been since Terri was looked at by neurologist or what if any diagnostic testing had been done her before his visit with Dr. Harrison. |
