Did you all receive this zoning notice for a nudist worship hall? Since i've already been criticized on this board for mentioning my views on zoning issues, let me just observe: I wonder if this will be a clothes-ed meeting.

What does a Moms group have to do with Nudist Zoning?
I'm all about the right to fly your freak flag, but a childrens/mom's group and nudists?? Yeah..I'm going to need a explanation.
I (Rocco Sifredi) saw a posting about a NL mom's group. Although I understand this to be a networking group for women with children, there's always room to expand a group's charter. To be blunt, I'm interested in the moms and don't really care about the kids. Put that little explanation together with the "nudist worship hall BY APPOINTMENT ONLY" and I think you can connect the rest of the dots.
In other words, Rocco likes to "talk the talk." See what he's beating around the bush, so to speak, about (i.e. 'what he wants') is ridiculously available in today's society. The fact that he likely views his innuendo on this online forum as some sort of "foreplay" goes to show that he hasn't been able to move beyond watching his dreams played out on the internet.
Whatever floats your boat, Rocco. Many of us have 'been there, done that.' Maybe you ought to play it safe and stick to the American Pie DVDs

The NLNA Zoning Committee meeting for March is scheduled for Monday the 31st with a possible second meeting on Tuesday, April 1st. See the agenda below. NLNA Zoning Committee is chaired by NLNA Board member Larry Freedman and consists of 15 volunteers. The committee hears applications for zoning variances - when a resident, builder or developer wishes to build a project not allowed by the existing zoning of the property in question (e.g. building homes on industrial- zoned land). The committee passes motions, which are then reviewed by the NLNA Board and sent to the City Zoning Board of Adjustment as recommendations.
As always, all are welcome to attend and participate.

I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the response my proposal for a worship hall has received in Northern Liberties.
My congregation selected this neighborhood after carefully considering several potential sites in the Philadelphia region. As serious naturists (our preferred term) know, there is a significant need for sites where people can gather in the natural, non-sexualized, and freeing spirit that naturism is about. In particular, there is no place convenient to the Philadelphia area in which naturists can congregate to worship, free from the prudish and antiquated ideals of American middle-class values, and yes, free from clothes. We seek to establish such a worship area and believed that Northern Liberties, so widely renowned for its "liberalism" and acceptance, would be open to considering our proposal.
I am offended to find our application to the zoning board dismissed as a "joke" in this forum. Certainly the city that is the cradle of liberty and religious acceptance should be able to accept, even welcome, the practice of religion in the natural state in which G*d made us all. Our practice, in fact, is consistent with those of some of the earliest Christian leaders.
I hope that you will all take this opportunity to educate yourselves about naturism and that our presentation to the zoning group can be received and considered seriously and fairly. Only that will revive my faith in the "hip" community of Northern Liberties.
