Mals need some help in CO.

I got a call from a lady in Colorado that needs some help placing some 31 Mals ages 7-12 months old. The owner and his daughter that where doing all the training have fallen onto bad health and the Jack a$$ the hired to help them out showed up with all these dogs and then stole there car and a bunch of money from them and split. Well now the dogs need to find a place to go aswell. From what I was told they are all in good health, need some training but are VERY willing to do anything. They are asking $100 rescue fee per dog plus a crate and you would have to arrange pick up or travel for the animal. If anyone out you can call me and I will give you her number. 706-631-7592. Any help you can offer would be helpful.

thank you,
Matt Hammond

Note: I'm cross-posting this with permission from the post's author, Fumi
Collins, and permission is granted to cross-post wherever it might garner
some help. She posted several photos of some of the dogs affected, and
there's no question but that these are well-bred, *really* nice dogs who
fell into the wrong hands. Further information can be obtained from the
two contact numbers below; info on sending donations are best addressed to
Butch at the number shown.

*I don't have any additional info on this situation--not the specific
location, who's involved, etc., so emailing me won't be of any further
help. Thanks!**

Begin forwarded post:

if anyone knows someone who would be willing to help
out..............

there are a LOT of dogs in CO that need adopting.

long
story. basically owners of a kennel got saddled with about 31 dogs ranging
in age from 4 months to 3-4 years old. most of them are dutch shepherds,
malinois, or mixes

some of these unfortunate souls were kept in crates
24/7, beaten, starved, etc...

a great deal of these dogs are PURE bred.
they do not have papers. most will make great pets/working dogs with just a
little bit of work. the ones we have taken are already doing 100% better
than i thought they would be.

the owner of the kennel they are currently
being housed at needs help. he is alone caring for these dogs. his daugher
is very ill (cancer) and they kicked the idiot who abused these dogs off
the property. they are to put it lightly extremely overwhelmed. the dogs
are all now in good weight, and have been wormed, they are kennel dogs,
need socialization, and new homes. most of them are crate trained. most
have not been on a leash. they need homes willing to offer them patience
and TLC!

we have taken so far 6 of them. we can't take them all. We are
going back tomorrow to get more.

please help out if you can

adoption fees
on the dogs are about $100.
(this will not even cover vaccines / wormings
/ food so if you can not pick up a dog please send them $ to help out)

a
rough list is as follows:

(1) 2-3 year Dutch Shepherd Female - IMPORT -
beaten (FEMALE handler ONLY)
(10) 1 year old male / female Malinois - range
in color from cream to red
(5) 5-6 mo old male / female Dutch Shepherds -
range from light to almost black
(1) 3-5 year old GSD female - narcotics
trained
(1) 4-5 mo old female GSD/Mal mix
(1) 2-4 year old Dutch/GSD female
- beaten (FEMALE handler ONLY)

the list goes on.... all dogs are out of
imported parents. no papers will be available. time is of the essence. 5
have already been euthanized at local shelter .

all dogs are intact and
will need to be boosted for vaccs / wormings / vet care upon arrival

if
you can, please help out. i have some pictures i can send out to people who
are willing to help out. please contact ONLY if you are seriously
interested in helping out.

Re: Mals need some help in CO.

I can probably take a few until you find homes for them. Give me a call at the Pup-stop 303-343-7878. With gas prices so high I doubt we will fill up for T-day. We do rescue as well as help other rescues. Just ask for me, and if they say I am asleep, tell them to get me up. :)
