Hi,

"diskpatch 1.0 is giving me information that bootsector is corrupt."

When you do what exactly? You should try, scan for existing NTFS, and then for the NTFS partition found starting at sector 63, select verify boot.

What does DiskPatch now say?

Re: primairy partion as "raw"

Hello,

"boot sector and backup bootsector are identical"

In that case there's nothing to fix there, and it is safe to assume the boot sector is intact. The DiskPatch 2 logfile you have sent also shows a perfectly valid boot sector. So the problem is somewhere else, and we can not fix that.

It could be a logical error (like damaged MFT records) or one or sectors that can not be read (we have seen that a couple of times). To rule out the last option use the DiskPatch 2 demo to run a surface scan on the partition.

"when i try to mount volume dp reports bootsector invalid"

Yes, but you can not mount NTFS volumes in DiskPatch.

Instead try that with NTFS4DOS from www.datapol.de. If you can not mount the volume then you'll need something like iRecover to try to salvage the data from the partition.
