We have just rescued a female greyhound (fawn) with a coller but no tags.
we found her running out in the middle of the road in dunfermline at the coal road at the bottom glen gates.
We need urgent advice on where to take her as i can't get a hold of celia and jimmy.

We thank you for the correct way you went about to solve the problem.
At the weekend going to the police first was good - the missing dog was recorded. The dog warden was being informed as soon as possible. The dog was being brought temporarily to immediate safety in recognised kennels. This way the owner was quickly able to recover the dog.
Otherwise the dog was in great danger of being killed on the road.
