Is anyone getting electric shocks off their dogs just now? I'm not sure if its because I'm wearing all these extra layers, some of which must contain nylon or something, but cuddling Shandy this morning while working, I was getting an electric shock every few seconds off his coat. Not piddly little static shocks, mind - big painful cracks on my hand!!

I'm telling him his Mummy must really love him if she still endures the pain and cuddles him. I will try all wool and cotton tomorrow to see if that makes a difference - or try to find a way to earth Shandy!!

I'm getting the same thing. I put it down to the low humidity in the house (due to central heating) and my preference for wearing fleece tops. You're right though they do 'crack' and the dog doesn't seem to notice (or at least ours doesn't).

Ive been getting electric shocks from Bambi when she is moving about on the couch! I put it down to the cover she is sitting on?Don't usually get them tho...lol
