Hi Steve,
Thank you very much for some great pictures of both walks.
It allows us to enjoy the walks again.

It so nice to see so many greyhound lovers. The young family with the todler looks especially appealing! That is an excellent way of upbringing when kids are taught responsibility and respect for animals from the very start. It will bring fruit in the future!

It was a good long walk, and quite warm in the sun. Kell was certainly pleased to find a refreshing bottle of water on his walk

Hi Stan,

Thanks for your comment. We've been very lucky to have Suzie in our house and part of our family. She is an extremely patient dog. Young Niamh was already used to pets as we have a cat, but she adores Suzie and loves spending time stroking her and talking to her. She feeds her treats straight from her hand and shows no fear with other hounds which is great. She was more than happy with other dogs coming up to her in her buggy and having a good sniff around.

Although she is is good with the dog we are mindful that due to her age she will try occasionally to cross the line, but she always reacts well to being told to let Suzie be, and Suzie in turn is aware that Niamh is smaller than the rest of us and is very patient. Suzie also has her cage where she can escape to for some alone time.

Respect for animals at an early age is important to pet owners but the respect built for Niamh by Suzie is of equal importance to us and it seems to be working well at the moment. Long may it continue.

This is of course in no small way down to Jimmy and Celia choosing the correct dog for us in the first place. She has been first class.

Re: Pictures from todays walk, Beveridge Park

Hi Evan,
Nice to have read your comment. I am extremely glad that your cohabitation is so good. I may say, from my own experience(my brother had 3 dogs when his kids very toddlers). All of the dogs were very gentle, lenient with the kids, and the kids were taught to be gentle with the dogs. It was a very good start for shaping their personalities. The more love kids experience, the more they will offer to others (human and four-legged). It is a very good way of teaching responsibility and taking on some duties in the future (walking, feeding etc.). The more important it is that the whole process of teaching may be done in a very nice, pleasant way that is not understood as a burden but as one of the pleasures resulting from creating some mutual emotional bonds.
So good so far!
Very best wishes,
Stan
