Disabled dogs

Any advice would be welcome...lucy our family dog..her pictures are on page 45 is now disabled..she is still full of life for an elderly madam..her back legs no longer get the messages from the brain..she isnt in pain..just more annoyed that she cant stand or walk as well as she used too...VET had said there was nothing they could do...I had heard about dog carts for disabled dogs so called the vet to see if they knew where we could get one...got told to look up dog carts on the internet!!! Have done and they look like they could be a big help..Does anyone know where we maybe could get one locally?? Thank you

Re: Disabled dogs

Hiya Meg. Sorry I can't offer any advice or point you in the right direction but I just wanted to say - GOOD FOR YOU. I have seen similar "dog carts" on TV & I actually think it was maybe on a Cesar Milan episode. Maybe if you contact a big organisation such as Dogs Trust they would be more helpful than your vet. Good luck on your search & I look forward on an update

I think the link above says quite a bit about dog wheelchairs (i.e. how to measure the dog etc.)

If you are or know a dab hand you can make it yourself(much cheaper).
