The truth of the matter is that, as you can read on heir thread, we are not holding it together that well. The reaction has ben much stronger than expected. All we can do is to carry on and allow time to partly heal the wounds.

Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to make the pain any easier. But thanks for all your thoughts, they are comforting.

I will keep posting on their thread. I have chosen to share our grief as this is also part of Greyhound life. We just did not expect it so soon.

We were so sorry to hear of your sad news. As people who rescue dogs ourselves, we fully understand your pain. The only comfort we can offer is that the memories will remain for each of your canine companions and at some point down the line, the pain will ease. Hang in there you two. Thinking of you both.

Our heartfelt thoughts go to you all - it is truly impossible for those who have never had a greyhound in their lives to understand the heartache. You both did more than alright by your beautiful friend, take consolation from that. x
