update on geyhound found in Doune

good news been claimed by owner.Actually not a greyhound but a lurcher but so like a greyhound fooled vets and people at bandeath kennels. He had run away or gotten away from his home in gargunnock and i'll bet he had loads of fun running across the carse. To anyone who doesn't know the area large flat open farmlands prime hare country. But also a lucky dog as 2 very busy roads to negotiate.

Hi Liz,

That's great news, thanks for the update, he has crossed my mind a few times.

Re: update on geyhound found in Doune

Great news! - lurchers are, in general, much more 'street-wise' than greyhounds, since they start learning from a young age instead of being cossetted until they are, effectively, adults. But, like the recent post on lurcher Tara, they can be difficult to catch.
That's why greyhounds are so accident-prone - they've been robbed of the normal growing up process of socialising and learning by having normal minor accidents. They are big, fast, heavy dogs with thin skin and a strong natural urge to chase, suddenly thrust into a world of dangerous obstacles and animals they haven't met before. It could be a recipe for disaster - hence the GRF lead rule.

Oops! Sorry, the lurcher mentioned in my post above was Dancer, not Tara, who is the lovely girl Michele and Nic adopted. Before Jock decided to cuddle up to me on the GRF sofa, Tara had already weakened my resolve so let's have an update on how she's doing ladies!?
