Mac and Maisie meet Friends

Mac and Maisie met up with Pancho and Missy in Rosyth today. They greeted each other like old friends then Mac walked with Missy and Maisy walked with Pancho. They hardly noticed any other dogs being around, Missy and Pancho weren't comcerned so Mac and Maisie weren't either. Even did a bit of celebrity spotting -went past Bootsies' house, yes the roving reporter! Didn't see him though.

Thank you to Mary and your Son Adam. I was really concerned we'd set your dogs back but it was such a positive experience. An extra unexpected bonus was when I was loading the dogs into the car, a man from an allotment gave me 3 courgettes as he'd grown too many. So courgettes for tea!

Ha ha ha .... that made us laugh

As you will see from my post, we were in Edinburgh at the St. Columba's Hospice 'Bark in the Park' fundraiser ..... the 'celebrity's' head is now even bigger as he won 'Best Large Dog' at their show !!!!!!!!

If you're doing another walk with Mary, Adam, Missy & Pancho ..... PLEASE let us know as we would really LOVE to join you - as you probably realise, we have a HUGE soft spot for Maisie (and Mac of course ).

Glad to hear you had a good walk, and trust a Rosyth local to give you courgettes ..... !!!!!!!!!!!

Mac has wrote about his day on his dog blog. He would also appreciate some opinions on his new collar;

Hi Susan and Celebrity Bootsie

Yes, we'd love to meet up with you. Mac does not automatically socialise with greyhounds which is why I just did not expect his delighted reaction to Missie and Pancho. I'm probably hoping for 2pm on Sunday if you/Mary are free.

My Daughter was in the car when the man called me over. I'd been wrestling to get the dogs in the back of the car, Mac was exhausted and sprawled in the back, leaving no room for Maisie so there was much pushing and shoving going on and I emerged looking like I'd done 10 rounds with Giant Haystacks (actually that would be easier). The man had the look of a gardener who would be lynched by his Family if he came home with yet another courgette, but I was delighted to have some home grown veg. I returned to the car and my Daughter said ' I can't even imagine the conversation you've just had which ends with you getting 3 courgettes!'

Re: Mac and Maisie meet Friends

We all think that Mac looks fabulous in his new collar !!

I also bought Bootsie a new collar at the Summer Fete, and he was not happy when Mummy Mo suggested that it looked camp (although she didn't use such polite terms ).

Anyway, it brought him luck yesterday at Bark in the Park, so as well as making you look very handsome Mac, we hope it will bring you lots of luck too

Hi Susan

I think Jenny and the dogs are meeting up with me in Rosyth at 2pm Sunday again, of course you and Bootsie are very welcome to meet up for a walk too.

We were looking like one of the greyhound walks lol.

We met up at Tesco so probably meet there again but we could meet you at the park if you like or if you meet us at tesco we could perhaps walk along towards pattismuir. text or phone me if you like on 07935831492

Mary (give the big guy a hug from me

Re: Mac and Maisie meet Friends

Hi Mary & Jenny,

We are going to the GRF Walk at Aberdour on Sunday - not sure if Bootsie will be up to two long walks on one day, but it would be nice even to meet up and say hello. Will keep in touch.

Re: Mac and Maisie meet Friends

Hi Mary/Susan
Yes, I'll park at th station as there's less people to witness the wrestling match getting them in/out of the car. 2pm is fine by me again. Mac and Maisie lay on a neighbours lawn and nearly had to be carried into the house after their long walk. The peace and quiet was great! Sunday is Macs birthday. I'm hoping one day to take him on a greyhound walk but not this year

Re: Mac and Maisie meet Friends

We'll be there Even if we just walk with you for a wee while - will be really lovely to see you all
