Hi Sean.Wrote this poem.Hope you like it.It is called..
A Greyhound's Thanks.
I was born to chase,to run,to race.I was trained to be a winner,
but when I lost I was locked up,cold and hungry, without my dinner.
I was really miserable,so very sad.
But then I got some good news, the best I've ever had.
Some people had come to rescue me,
and take me to the kennels at Baltree.
There I met a lot of hounds, all rescued, just like me.
And all were very grateful to the kennels at Baltree.
One day a man came to visit me,he walked me round the track,
I thought he might give me a home, but alas he took me back.
Imagine my surprise then, when the following day,
the same man came back again,
"to give me a loving home" I heard him say.
It seems so long ago now, that wonderful, glorious day.
But although I am old and grey now I have had a long and comfy life.
And It's all thanks to you guys,The Angels at Greyhound Rescue Fife.
That was absolutely brilliant Robert! Thanks for taking the time to write it, All the homeless hounds (and, I'm sure, especially Dolly!) appreciate your fantastic poem!
