... but, sadly, Barney lost his fight for life this evening - Mum & Dad are devastated, as are we. Barney was a lovely boy (swedish valhund) with a fabulous temperament, and we will miss him so very much.
Run free over the Bridge our sweet boy ... you will be, forever, in our hearts. Thank you for the 11 years of joy and love you gave us all.
Aw Susan.
We are so very sad. We've gone through this many times and it never ever gets easier. We are so sorry to read the news.
All we can say is that the terrible day can take nothing away from the eleven years of total happiness you all had together. Remember only the good times and it is not quite so hard. Time will eventually heal the bad part but the good memories will always linger.
Remember that he was happy because of his loving family all his life.
All pain has now gone Barney. You are once again a bouncing young puppy on the other side of the Bridge.
Our deepest sympathy to you all.
Celia and Jimmy.
Dear Susan, Mo & Bootsie,
Sincere condolences, why is it that these very painful things so often happen just before Christmas? Barney was in professional care when he died so there is nothing more that could have been done and you were, at least, spared the agony of having to make that big decision. Small comfort I know. How I hate that void you seem to go into, where you are too numb to think and nothing else seems to matter any more. But be patient with yourselves. The clouds will clear and you will be able to look back fondly. In the meantime I know you will all be a great comfort to Barney's Mum & Dad.
