Bootsie ..

Having spent THE longest day ever (or what felt like it, and we should be used to it by now ....) we collected our boy, from the Vet, at 5:10.

A little lump has been removed, and sent off for biopsy, although the Vet says it didn't look like anything nasty. Also, there is nothing sinister showing up on the x-rays which is what we were REALLY worried about. Jen, at Vetrica, reckons it is probably an old racing injury as there is a lot less movement in his right hind leg than his left - we have steroids for him. Also, and finally, his bloods were pretty much the same as last time he had them done which was July 2014, which means the ID diet is working and keeping his Pancreatitis under control.

All in all we are two very relived, and thankful, Mummies

Bootsie is sleeping off his anaesthetic, and is even allowed a bit of chicken for his tea

We know how lucky we are to have received good news today, and send our love & thoughts to all who are not in our position.

Susan & Mo xx

Re: Bootsie ..

Hi susan

So relieved for you it has turned out to be just a racing injury (that sounds terrible to hope for that, but the alternative wasn't one I wanted to hear from yourselves)
If he's getting stiff and uncomfortable you could try putting him on yumove joint supplements we use it on joey he has also had physio/hydro as well and that worked wonders. Joey isnt a fan of water but after he got over that he enjoyed the hydro tanks. He has had his own tummy troubles so we couldn't keep up with his exercises he was just to uncomfortable so he's going back next Thursday to get him back to where he was. We won't accept him on pain killers for the rest of his life (he's only 5) they can do their own damage if taken long term.
So physio/hydro and yumove might be worth a shot for once bootsie is better and all healed.
