Just a wee update as Bambi nor I have been about much recently!

Bambi was at the vet last week and is now on antibiotics for her teeth (her last dental was only 8 months ago and teeth were just as bad again) and has corsodol gel too which she isn't best pleased about. She also has been given a pain killer/anti inflammatory as she had started to limp - vet said that it is pain in her front right leg, back left leg and her back.

So, I am happy to report at this time that she is bouncing back beautifully!!! What a difference in her she is alert and interested and although she is not moving at great speed she is moving about with much more ease certainly not bad for a 12 1/2 yr old!!lol I am delighted!! We have to go back week today for a check up so we will see what they say then but its so lovely to have her with the old gleam of mischief in her eyes again!!

We will try and make it to some of the walks this year - although unfortunately I am in Ireland the weekend of the dog show :( Bambi and I hope to see you all soon :) xx

Brilliant news, Joan, Bambi was the first GRF dog we ever met when we arranged to meet up with Celia and Jimmy at the old Kinghorn kennels, about eight years ago. Jimmy was just taking her for a walk and came to meet us as we were opening the estate car to let our 3 hounds out for a breath of air. Bambi promptly jumped in beside them and they were too surprised to object, but it's probably the only time I've seen Jimmy slightly alarmed!
She is the best example I know of what GRF is all about and everyone loves her so I hope she continues to defy her years for a long time yet.

Good on yer Bambi. You've a few years yet to catch up on Fritz.

Aw thanks everyone its nice to always know that Bambi still holds a place in folks hearts!! She is still the wonderfully unpredictable girl I picked up from u Celia and Jimmy but with a little less gusto nowadays (well in the main... lol) which makes life a little easier on my arms...lol Marion she still threatens to get in just about anyones car that we pass... lol Hopefuly catch up with all her human and hound friends soon :) xx

So glad to hear Bambi is well! Has she forgiven us yet for sitting on her sofa lol
