.... to see Oscar back on the homing list, although I appreciate that Fiona did her best and asked for advice and help. It just wasn't to be and goes to show that (as with people) even the most beautiful don't get all the breaks in life.
Don't worry wee man, someone will be waiting in the wings to win an Oscar soon.
Hi,
No-one is more sorry about this that I am. Oscar is a beautiful, intelligent and extremely sensitive boy who is more suited to living in a quiet, rural environment (rather than in a flat in a town) and with someone who can manage his strength. If you have a home that would be good for Oscar i.e. rural, quiet, no children, space for him to gain confidence in a world beyond kennels, then please consider homing him. He was really getting the hang of the toilet training and liked lazing in the sunny spot on his blankets on the carpet. A good but very sensitive boy who deserves a quiet home away from the stresses of town life.
I am so very sorry and frankly devastated, but he will find the right home for him.
Awww fiona dont be sorry and you tried we adopted girlie aka wilow nearly 2 years ago and we got a cat we were lucky they both get on and she stayed , it could of not worked as my cats safety comes first but it did , you did all you could xxx
Thanks for posting Fiona and I can feel your pain. You did everything right in identifying problems and asking for advice and I'm as sorry for you as for Oscar that it didn't work out. Sometimes it's a better and braver thing to accept that and act on it, than to just struggle on.
I adored Oscar when I met him and I would have just that perfect environment for him but, with Foggy, I am once again up to my greyhound limit @ 5 (or over it, as my partner Mike and the neighbours would say!).
For now, he's in safe hands and you have educated him in the toileting department so we wish him luck next time. I'm sure it won't be long.
