Sky & Gem and Steve ...

... come on folks, these three dogs have been in the Kennels now for quite some time ... not sure if they are the longest serving, but sure someone will tell us !!!

Anyway, these two little sisters, and the handsome Steve, are desperately seeking their forever homes ... can anyone help?

I featured Gem & Sky in the most recent Newsletter, and Steve has been mentioned in several Newsletters in the past ... let's make a supreme effort to find two homes for these guys.

Thanks for reading this,
Susan x

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

Awwww susan hear hear i mentioned sky and gem couple weeks ago they been there since we adopted willow nearly two years ago, is there something wrong with them???? Because as i see other dogs have been adopted in two s so why not them, it would be nice to see the longer residents get a home first rather than the new ones that just come in xxx

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

There is nothing wrong with Gem and Sky. The girls are sisters and need to be adopted together. The only problem is that they are very shy and a bit scared of people they do not know. This is most likely the reason they cannot "sell themselves" to potential adopters because they are rather withdrawn with strangers...

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

Absolutely Stan ... and often the quiet ones can turn out to make the most perfect pets. Bootsie (believe this or not!) was very quiet when we first re-homed him ... look at him now

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

Thanks Susan:-)
When I was in the kennels I wanted to take them for a walk. At first they were hiding and very, very shy as they had not met me before. I was a stranger... It took me a few minutes to attach the leads to their collars. They were very curious on the walk, interested in all aspects of the surrounding environment. Later on I went to get them ready for feeding... They were completely different towards me then... Their shyness somehow faded... I took Gem out to be fed outdoors. She was joyful making even a few "hops" in front of me (she did not jump on me which was good). In my opinion, both of them are still in their shells but both of them have a huge potential to become the most wonderful, loving and joyful pets!

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

I agree entirely, Susan, I have been smitten with Gem and Sky ever since I met them, and my boy:girl ratio is all out of balance at the moment with 4 boys and 1 girl - but just how do I get them all (plus me, Mike and Jack Russel Charlie in one Vectra Estate? For those old enough, it's a bit like the elephants in a mini joke!
Some wonderful person will appear on their horizon soon, I'm sure, and what a lucky person!

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

Steve will soon be getting a bit of publicity with his own thread here and on the GRF FaceBook page. Hopefully that will help him to find a home - check back at the end of the week...

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

Hopefully some patient soul is willing to bring them out there shell they such beautiful greyhounds xxx

Re: Sky & Gem and Steve ...

Here's hoping they're not waiting too much longer. Max has been waiting a long time too. There's someone for everyone and hopefully the right people will come along for them soon.
