Run Free DUKE LOVED FOREVER

Sadly last Sat we had to say a final farewell to our eleven year old boy DUKE ( Droopys Ben ) and let him take that final run over the Rainbow Bridge.

DUKE was retired from racing at two and a half years due to a heart murmur, He has until recently led a normal healthy life, and we have cherished his company and loved him dearly.

Duke has shared our sofa for the past eight years, recently with his little sister RUBY, and previously with his sisters SALLY and LUCY whom I m sure he will meet again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

So RUN FREE big lad you will NEVER be FORGOTTEN

RIP.......DUKE......XXX

Re: Run Free DUKE LOVED FOREVER

Having lost Billy at the weekend we can say that we feel your pain.

Duke and Billy will be running pain free once again with all the other Hounds over the Rainbow Bridge.

If you are feeling the same way as us then we hope things improve for you over time.

Take Care.

Re: Run Free DUKE LOVED FOREVER

Oh John and Janice.
We are so terribly sorry. Duke was a great character and got on very well with his girl friends.
We are so sorry for the wee girl he left behind. Please give her a huge cuddle from us.
We'll miss seeing Duke at our kennels. He was a treasure.
Run free over the Bridge Duke. You'll be able to look down and see mummy and daddy.
RIP dear big boy.
Celia and Jimmy.

Re: Run Free DUKE LOVED FOREVER

We are so sorry to hear about your lovely boy Duke. Give Ruby an extra special cuddle from us, as she will be missing her big brother.

Our girl Carrie missed her big brother Leo, (Droopys Lion), when he passed away unexpectedly at age 11.

Everyone who has lost a Greyhound will be feeling your pain and hoping it eases with time.

The passing of any Greyhound brings tears to all our eyes, as they are such special dogs. We will never forget them.

Run free over the bridge Duke, your two sisters and Droopys Lion will be waiting to meet you there.

Lots of love from Liz, Richard, Squeek, Spot and Carrie xxx

Re: Run Free DUKE LOVED FOREVER

2016 is certainly taking its toll on rehomed greyhounds so far - let's hope this is an end to it. Duke will be in good company on the far side and Ruby will help to heal your pain - greyhounds are generally much more accepting than we are, and she will gladly take all your cuddles now. Try to focus on her, and the eight years of happy times.
