Many of you on the forum will not know of us but we adopted 3 girls from GRF a good few years ago . Shayla (ex Nellie) Rosie and Isis. They live happily with our Lurcher boy Muskie in our family.

Unfortunately our lovely girl Shayla had to be put to sleep. We are devastated by her loss but we did not want her to suffer. She had teeth extracted and was doing fine and making a good recovery. However she collapsed and fitted and the vet was sure she had something nasty neurological. She was 11 years old and we did not want her to suffer. We were with her when she passed away and she will leave a huge void in our lives. She was a totally undemanding dog. She lived for her food, walks and bed. Affection was on her terms and we were honoured that she chose to share them with us.

We just wanted Jimmy and Celia to know what had happened with Shay and to say that the others are all fine. Rosie - as bonkers as usual and Isis - a madame who is in to everything and a total diva.We wouldn't have them any other way.

We are so terribly sorry to hear about gorgeous wee Shayla. We remember when you first took her into your home. Thank you so much for doing that. You gave her a great life.
