I thought you might like an update on Bess. After losing our beloved Ruby in July, Jim and I came to visit you on the 4th of August and took Bess home with us.
She was very nervous and shy when we first brought her home and was scared of her own shadow. She was scared of everything including the TV, bin lids being closed, any loud noises and especially tall men!
Well what a difference! With patience, love and understanding we now have a hound who is so confident, has lots of doggy friends in the village, actually sometimes watches TV, plays with all her toys, loves her walks and her ball. She is a pleasure to walk, she likes small furry dogs, she looks at cats and rabbits but doesn't show much interest. Our vet loves her and she loves him!
She absolutely adores Jim but has done since the day he crawled into the cage with her, at GRF, he was determined to giver her her forever home. The welcome he gets when he comes in the front door is amazing, she jumps into his arms, he is 6ft 4! In fact she welcomes everyone who comes into the house now where as she would run away and hide in her bed, curl into a ball and shake like a leaf. She is a fantastic dog, funny and a joy to have, we love her dearly. She nicks our shoes and slippers and takes them to her bed but she is not at all destructive.
Thank you Jimmy and Celia for giving us another beautiful greyhound. We just love our Bessy Boo. I will post some pics.

We remember with sorrow when you lost dear Ruby but thank you for taking Bess into your loving home and thank you for the great update. She too deserved a loving home and from the photos it is quite obvious that she has landed on her paws. Thank you so much for taking her home.
Please give her a huge cuddle from her old uncle and auntie.
