3 more sleeps ! & show top tips

Well only 3 more sleeps until our 10th anniversary show !!! Looking ahead the weather is for light showers on Sunday However that will not affect the show as it is held indoors !!!! As we draw closer to the show we thought it would be an ideal time to give you 5 top tips to enhance your enjoyment of the show along with a few reminders of some rules for the day.

First of all the rules for the day:

• ALL dogs must be kept on the lead at ALL times at this event and under control

• Please make use of the adjacent field for walking your dogs before, during and after the show. But again always on the lead and please pick up the poo. There will be plenty of black bags to dispose it into.

• It is a working farm so please ensure you keep the area tidy and dispose of rubbish etc into the bags provided.

• Please park in the designated parking area (top field), we like to keep parking near the hall for disabled, stall/show attendees and for Farm workers!

• The show itself, there will be 7 classes, entry will be £1 per dog (handlers free Or should it be the other way round )the winner of each will go into our grand final (no charge for this) and there will be 6 prizes up for grabs in each of the qualifying classes

Show top tips:

These are off the top of my head so if many of our regular show goers out there would like to add please feel free to do so

1. Did you know other than the portaloos at the show we also have 2 further “proper” toilets for use, they will be signposted, but can also ask at front desk if not sure where they are.

2. Each class will have it’s own individual registration slot which will be announced over our P.A. system. However, once registered there is no need to queue, we will call everyone into the ring once we are ready to start the class (just remember your number in case we need to split the class!)

3. A lot of our stalls can be busy at times, the ideal time to visit is during a class. So if not involved in that class then please use the time to visit our stalls

4. Some of you may have travelled a distance by car to the show, if you need to “go” or stretch your legs after the drive, so will your dog. Walking before the show will help calm your dog down and ensure they don’t lead you round the ring !!

5. The most important tip, have fun have a chat to other owners, visit the stalls, take a break with coffee/tea/soup and refreshing home-baking and try and win some of the many prizes we will have on offer at the show.

That’s all ! keep up the advertising and promotion between now and Sunday, remember you can pay at the door (£5 adults kids under 16 free) and look forward to seeing a large turnout for our anniversary show
