I've always had boy dogs before, and for some reason I didn't think females would mark their territory so much while out on walks
Annie has put me right though, lol, on our regular route walks she seems to mark every ten feet or when she smells something interesting, until she runs out of wee lol. Not so much when we take a new route.
Don't know why I thought girls would be different
Shortly after I got Lola, I thought she had a urinary infection, as like Annie she stopped every few feet. I mentioned it to the vet, who asked me to get a specimen, but I could never manage it. However, it became clear that she just liked marking . . . A lot! 😁
Thanks Teresa
The boy I had before Annie liked marking, but he had his favourite places, best patch of grass, post etc, lol.
I suppose they must feel settled then if they consider their regular territory their ground.
