So sorry to hear this news Marion. Having gone through it twice this year all I can say is it does get easier with time, and you can think back on the happy times and the life you gave him and the love he gave you in return. There is no better tribute to your dog than to take another when the time is right.
Thank you guys, You know, I can't be sad because every time I think of him he still makes me smile - it's that magic 'Jock effect'. He slipped into our family so easily, was a joy to live with, and even slipped away again with the minimum of fuss. Top dog.

We were so sorry to hear about wee Jock today.
We remember you took him home from the kennels right after having a large cancerous tumour removed. Not many people would be kind enough to do that.
Your reward for loving him was he survived the operation and became one of your family members for years. He had a very happy life with you and we thank you so much for taking him home from the kennels and giving him that life. Bless you.
Run free wee Jock. May your happy nature spread to the other side of the Bridge. It will be a fun place with you there.
