As many of you know, my friend and I make dog beds out of duvets and curtains which we sell for £8 each to raise money for GRF. If anyone has curtains which they no longer require, could you bring them along to the dog show on Sunday for me please. They need to be in reasonable condition and of fairly strong material.
NB please don't bring duvets - we have an endless supply of these from another charity.

Sheila, I won't be at the Show but I could leave curtains at the kennels if that w/b of any use to you? They're heavy duty velvet and lined - will they work?

I'll leave my (large) curtain at the kennels on Monday and I'll place an order to buy the finished bed, please, as it matches my existing lounge curtains (just didn't need it when we moved so it's been living in a suitcase).

I left you dog bed at the kennels today. It is in a large black bin bag with your name attached down at the foot of the corridor beside the wooden kennel.

Sheila, thank you! I picked up my dog bed today after walking (mostly in the rain, as predicted) and popped it in the car while I got my purse and went to pay for it (VERY good value @ £8, folks). In the meantime Star had to investigate the black plastic bag (just in case there was food in there) so there were a few holes in the bag and stray bits of black plastic on the front seats but the bed was thankfully intact and it's just PERFECT. Eagle was the first to test it out and he says the quality and comfort are excellent, which they clearly are. AND I have my matching dog bed and curtains. It's like Horse & Hound in my sitting room - well maybe not quite!
