This Sundays walk - Riverside Park, Glenrothes

The fourth of the 2019 GRF walks will take start at Riverside Park, Glenrothes KY6 3EP at 12:00 on Sunday 9th June. This walk is part of the Great Global Greyhound Walk. We are going to try to find an alternative walk through the woodlands and avoid the main park as much as possible.

Greyhound Rescue Fife hold monthly walks on the second Sunday of the month starting at 12:00. These walks are an excellent opportunity for dogs and their owners to socialise, and to raise awareness for the rescue.

All dogs must remain on fixed leads at all times, and the two leggers need to pick any thing their four leggers drop on the way. Please watch out for other dogs that may well be off their leads on the walk, and please watch out for traffic moving about the car park.

Please try to remember that not all of the dogs or their two leggers are as quick on their feet as they once were, so please do not go charging off into the distance, and please allow for regrouping at strategic places so that we can all enjoy the walk together.

Re: This Sundays walk - Riverside Park, Glenrothes

We’ve just been along to plan tomorrow’s walk. We’re going to go for a woodland walk that runs alongside the river for a good part of it. With the recent rain the path is quite muddy and is a bit rough in places so make sure you wear appropriate shoes or boots.

A grey't turnout today - 29 greyhounds and 8 other sight hounds. The weather was kind to us, and the new route was a success too.
