Hello everybody.
This gives details of something which happened recently.
A nice lady rehomed a male greyhound some time ago. He was playing, without a muzzle, in his safe enclosed garden. A cat jumped into his garden and he killed it. We were all saddened and shocked. The incident happened 100+ miles from the kennels.
Later Celia was driving with a passenger when her phone rang. She stopped and it was the cat owner who was hysterical, as one would expect, screaming into the phone. Celia tried to ask some questions but the lady would not stop screaming, blaming Celia's rehoming for the death of the cat. Celia switched off the phone.
We have no complaint up to this point.
Next, the friend had said that the owner said Celia had told her that greyhounds do that so don't get another cat. Celia did not say that. Remember the passenger in the car? Do any of you believe Celia, who has successfully rehomed around 30 greyhounds with cats would say a thing like that?
This led to the further posts;
Was this in Scotland ? It's bloody shocking that a rescue could behave like that.
Yes, I hate to say it, but yes and one of the bigger ones.
This is what we object to. We were never on their site and Celia did not do any of these things, so I am putting the record straight.
It simply shows how some wrong information can be taken as accurate and turned into a hate campaign.
Jimmy.
