I was so very pleased to hear on the news one night this week that Sainsbury's supermarkets have stopped the sale of fireworks in all their stores because of concern for animal welfare.
I have written to Sainsbury's to thank them and I'd like to ask all of our GRF members and supporters to do the same. If they can see that there is a large number of people in favor of banning these cruel fireworks every year it will reinforce their conviction that what they have done has support among their customers, even if you're not really a customer.
Can someone who uses the GRF Facebook please post this on there too, and anywhere else that you can think of?
