Gracie (Rosie) at home

Hi Jimmy and Celia and all, we hope you are all safe and well.

We rescued Gracie on the 15th, just before lockdown! She was called Rosie at GRF but as my mum is called Rosie something had to give! We decided to call her Gracie after her racing name, Grace's Rose.

She has settled in so well. She conquered the stairs on day one, and within a few days discovered her thermal bed and sheepskin, which she is rarely off!

She has been fantastic at her toilet training and her favorite thing is to help us out with our gardening, and lie on the grass in the sun.

She is still too nervous to go in the car or to let us lift her but with patience and training she is getting there and is getting more comfortable every day.

We have bought her Arkrights Chicken which her auntie Celia and Uncle Jimmy gave her and she loves it. Can you remind me how much you used to feed her? We can't figure out if she is hungry or just a very food-obsessed girl... We suspect the latter as her other favorite hobby is watching through the kitchen door forlornly as we cook!

Gracie has been such a blessing during these times and we are so glad to be at home every day to help her settle.

Best wishes to all!

Re: Gracie (Rosie) at home

Hi, lovely to hear Gracie is settling in so well! A general guide for feeding is two standard coffee mugs of kibble in the morning with a couple of tablespoons of tinned meat and then the same in the evening.

Re: Gracie (Rosie) at home

Hi Kevin and Liz.
Thank you for the lovely photos of Gracie. We see a very happy little girl greyhound.
Thanks for taking her into your home and please give her a huge cuddle from us.
Jimmy and Celia.

Re: Gracie (Rosie) at home

What lovely photos of a lucky greyhound. You are clearly keen gardeners and Gracie seems very interested too - just watch out for the blood, fish & bone, it can prove irresistible!
She will hopefully make your corona siege a lot less arduous and even enjoyable at times!
Best wishes,
Marion
