We visited yesterday and fell in love with Panther. He coped brilliantly with the long drive home to Aberdeenshire and did a wee in the garden as soon as we got home. He settled with a chew then ate all his dinner. Had a big poo on the carpet, yikes! But then enjoyed a family stroll early evening then a short walk before bed - amazingly we didn’t hear a peep and he slept soundly all night and there was no mess overnight. He’s eaten breakfast and had a lovely walk this morning, he is so well behaved and calm on the lead he is a pleasure to walk! We are all in love with him and so glad he’s come into our lives!
Hi Lisa.
Thanks for the lovely update.
We're so pleased that the big boy is settling in.
Thank you for taking him into your home and family.
Please give him a huge cuddle from his old auntie and uncle.
Celia and Jimmy.
Aw will do! He is honestly an absolute pleasure to have around. He cracked housetraining in 24 hours and sleeps all night and is generally just a big cuddle monster. We love him so much! Will keep in touch x
Hi Celia and Jimmy, a little update on Dante for you - he is still settling in very well and is really starting to come out of his shell and let us see his character, it’s wonderful to see! He loves to lay on the sofa with us and is very good with the kids. He loves his walks and zoomies in the garden at 7am, we love to watch them! Our grass doesn’t love it so much though haha!
A nice lady on a Facebook group found out information about Dante’s history which was interesting to read. His last race was in July 2018 and we wondered if you knew where he’s been from July 2018 until we adopted him? Just curious to know all about him!
Hi Lisa,
He last raced, as you say, on 2nd July 2018.
He has been with the trainer, unraced, ever since and she brought him to us to find a good home for him. This we have certainly done.
If you go onto www.greyhound-data.com you will need to give yourself a user name and password, you can then click " dog search " you will be asked the name of your dog. Type HONOUR PANTHER and you'll get his pedigree. Now click the number of races and you'll get his entire racing history.
Have fun :grinning:
Ah that’s lovely to know she took care of him after he stopped racing❤️
The lady on the Facebook group sent me the pedigree details and also pictures of his mum and dad. She sent us details of all his wins and even two videos of him winning, we were absolutely amazed by just how fast our beautiful boy can run!
We took him to the beach this morning for the first time - he wasn’t too sure of the waves to start with but soon relaxed and loved all the new and interesting smells. He is sleeping soundly now 😻❤️
