It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to run a monthly walk, but with today’s announcement by the Scottish Government of the easing of covid restrictions I am planning on starting them up again in August.
Sunday 15th August - Pittencrieff Park at 11:00. Pittencrieff Park is traditionally the first walk on the GRF walk calendar and there is plenty of room to maintain a safe distance from others.
Sunday 19th September - West Sands St Andrews at 11:00 (I will register this as part of the Great Global Greyhound Walk). I have chosen St Andrews as it too has plenty of space, and scope for shorter walks for those who would prefer that.
These dates tie in with the Scottish Governments lifting of covid restrictions as outlined in the screenshot taken from www.gov.scot this afternoon. Obviously if anything should change regarding covid restrictions these walks may be cancelled.
My plan is to schedule further walks reverting back to the usual second Sunday of the month from October.
We have missed these walks and hope you understand our cautious approach to restarting them. They are greyt opportunity for your greys to socialise with their own kind, and for owners to meet up and share their stories and advice in person. We hope to see a good turnout.
