Hi there. Secondhand Akim comics are everywhere from EBay to Amazon; which helps because they’re affordable in France and Italy. https://www.ebay.fr/itm/113753979513
The titular star of the comics initially wore an innocuous loincloth (it was the early 1950s after all) but who later became a notorious fan of skimpy briefs by the mid 1960s, when the Beatniks gave way to the Hippies. Some of the villains and other antagonists wear loincloths as well.
There are a lot of European comics with loinclothed (or similar) heroes (mostly Tarzanides: inspired by Tarzan) -- besides Akim, there's (heads up, links are not in English) Yataca, Zan/Zarawa, Kuma, Bengala, Kali/Zora, Tiki, Djeki, Djinga, Tamar, Tibor, Kimba (not the Japanese white lion, but an Italian photographic fumetti and for which I couldn't find a good link)... you have quite a dive ahead of you. :D
I was going to add, before we were so rudely interrupted by spammers, that there are also many prehistoric/post-apocalyptic European titles that might be worth checking out. The ones that immediately leap to mind are Rahan (http://www.rahan.org/fr/index.html), Tounga (https://www.bedetheque.com/serie-8003-BD-Tounga-Cartonnee.html), Waki (https://www.forumpimpf.net/wikipimpf/index.php?title=Waki), Henga (also known as Yor the Hunter, yes, as in the Reb Brown movie) (https://loscomicsdemachete.blogspot.com/2016/10/henga-la-gran-ilusion.html), Kronos (https://www.forumpimpf.net/wikipimpf/index.php?title=Kronos), and several others I'm sure I'm forgetting.
There were also a *lot* of Tarzan/Korak comics, mainly by Spanish and Yugoslavian artists, that were never reprinted in the US. Bane Kerac is arguably the best of them (https://www.erbzine.com/mag58/5850.html); his line work is up there with Manning and Hogarth.
And here's the English part of that Rahan site (since the little link at the bottom of the French page is easy to overlook): https://www.rahan.org/uk/.
